June 11, 200520 yr It was a pleasure meeting you two guys last weekend at the show. I wish there had been more time to shot the bull with you, but I saw how hard you were working and didn't want to stay but a minute. :)Being that was the first time I had ever been to the WW2 Weekend, to say I was blown away would be an understatement. I do wish it had not rained all day Friday, as this kept a lot of planes from being there on Saturday and I couldn't stay for Sunday's show. Seeing the R4D and Briefing Time up close was a total joy, having flown both many many hours in the sim. The Avenger looks awesome too and I can't wait to fly her. All in all it was a FANTASTIC weekend. I'm already looking foward to next year. :)Thank You MAAM for the memories,Jeff "Hawk" HawkinsP.S. Bill it took us 7 hours to get there (someone grabbed you before I had a chance to answer your question).
June 11, 200520 yr Yes indeed! It was great meeting Bill and Mark. I'll second that I wish a bunch of "addicts" could've gotten together.
June 11, 200520 yr Likewise, a pleasure to meet both of you, and thanks for taking the time to introduce yourselves.Railrunner, have you kept the larger version of the shot above (I think so, by your file name ...)? She's on my repaint list, but my shots of her were in bad light when Bill finally unshackled my ball and chain. That, and any others you might have, are probably better than mine, for reference! [email protected] is the email address if you can be bothered. Thanks a bunch.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM

June 11, 200520 yr Sorry to miss you, canine rouge. Long Island? Who's that then? Perhaps we're neighbours! I'm a Brit (as you can tell by the way I spell 'neighbours') but live in Bayville, near Oyster Bay on the north shore.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
June 11, 200520 yr Commercial Member Great to see all you guys, too. Next year drop by the MAAM-SIM Mobile HQ after we close down at 5 for a brew on us. I promise we won't be pulled away by customers. We'll be right where you see it in the MAAM scenery and would enjoy the opportunity to unwind with you over a cold one.Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/maamsim_neon.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
