Sound problems; crashes to desktop

Featured Replies

Ever since I installed the M.A.A.M. 8th edition CD, I've have some interesting problems with FS2004 itself. Here's a list. Any help will be appreciated (I fly the BEA cargo version):1)The stall horn is inoperative. The "stall" message appears in the lower right-hand corner of the screen, but no sound.2) In FS2004, some (but not all) of the "flying lessons" have no sound (i.e., I can't hear Ron Machado's jokes anymore :-)).3) When I take any "flying lesson," and exit from it, the program crashes to desktop. As I say, none of these things happened before I added the wonderful M.A.A.M. DC-3 program . . . I can work around them, of course, but I'm wondering if there are more incompatabilities I don't know about yet :-). Thanks for any advice.

Hey D, or do you prefer DC? Actually, we kind'a like real names around here. Seems friendlier and more open.As for your problems, I can be pretty confident in pleading Not Guilty and not possible. Our packages make no changes whatsoever to FS itself, being totally self-contained. That's not always true of add-ons that alter and overwrite various files within FS, but we take pains not to do it. Better look elsewhere for a possible culprit and please let us know what you find out.Good LuckPanther Charlie 6 Delta, out.oops! Hi Bill,Thanks for the response . . . real name is Gary Knight :-)Actually, my grandchildren's nickname for me is "D" (for reasons lost in history, having nothing to do with DC-3s), so it was pretty funny to see you to address me as "D" :-)Glad to know the glitches aren't M.A.A.M-Sim related, and I will post any solutions I find. Best regards,Gary
