Problems using FSNet

Since FSNet at (gates.to) came on the scene a couple of us have been flying together as pilot & co-pilot, with great satisfaction. We've been using the DC3 aircrafts from DC3airways.com and have been working very well. When we tried to log on together with the MAAM DC3's we found some problems. We could not use the same switches together and found that in order for both of us to have the same plane we were in running together we had to log out, both start our respective planes and then re-log on together at which time we could fly the same plane together marginially. The fun is in going through all the steps on the check list together as pilot & co-pilot. What needs to be done for the MAAM aircraft to work as one. ;( :(

You'll have to be a bit more specific if we can hope to answer your query. I have found no less functionality using MAAM-SIM aircraft within FSNet than other 'planes. I don't know why the MAAM-SIM bird should be causing you problems, I'm afraid. What has happened is when we were logged on together through FSNet we found that when one of us would turn on/off switches, that it would not respond on the other person's aircraft, also when the person acting as the pilot went through the engine start-up, it would register on his computer only, the 2nd person's (co-pilot) would show that the engines had not started, the MP and RPM gauges show no activity. This is the case with the MAAM DC3 aircraft. With the FS9 default DC3 and addon DC3's from "DC3airways" would respond as expected, when one of the two individuals did something with their craft it would do the same action in the other's. The MAAM craft would have to be started etc. prior to logging on together, with the exception of some of the switches and controls we are able to fly together in relatively the same plane from our seperate locations. OK, and thanks for raising this, Chris. I have not personally flown with FSNet for a while, owing to illness, but had no specific problems with the MAAM-SIM cockpit at that time. However, with upgrades, etc., who knows what might have changed.... I shall get into checking all this out presently. Bear with us, I'm unlikely to get you answers overnight. In the meantime, your own findings will always be of interest to help us pin down specifics. Thanks for getting back to us about this, your DC3-IFR panel seemed to work great, all we had to do was get ourselves started with same settings before logging on. FSNet is a good inovation and addition to the flying experience, it was a bit of a learning curve at first. Also speaking of your DC3-IFR panel, mine got lost and I've been unable to find the exact down-load again, HELP!! Chris DC3-1445

Hadn't heard anything for while thought would check in. Tried again lastnight to use the MAAM DC3 with FSNet, same resaults, some things would work fine others not, IE. could only start engines on one end of the connection, the other would not, and things like the ATIS would only come through for one of us not both. Hope there's a solution, really prefer flying the MAAM, more realistic then some of others. Chris
