May 11, 200719 yr HiIn the DC-3 everything works fine during startup, engine runup and actual flight.With the propellers at full fine (fully forward) I System: i7-10700K, 32GB RAM, RTX4070 12GB, 1 x 1TB SSD, 2 x 2TB SSD, 1x 2TB HDD, Win10 64bit Home, Meta Quest 3

May 12, 200719 yr WothanHi.I was actually scratching my head wondering why you would be wanting full throttle on approach! As far as I understand it from RW pilots, normal landing configuration would be something of this nature:1. 30" MAP in cruise, 2050RPM2. 25" MAP , 2050RPM once in range i.e. entering the pattern, slowing to 120KIAS on downwind, first notch of flaps, wheels down3. 25" MAP, 2050RPM on base, second notch of flaps, reduce to 100KIAS4. 25" MAP, 2050RPM on final, third/fourth notch of flaps as necessary, reduce to 80 KIAS. Trim for power controlled approach.5. 20" MAP, 2050RPM over the fence, touchdown 75-80KIAS6. Flaps up once tail down, increase RPM as required for taxi.So yes, you don't need that extra RPM. Even takeoff should rarely be at full throttle, by the way; most pilots topline at 42" MAP to avoid stressing the engines.MarkP.S. I'm sure this is all in our manuals and checklists, anyway, but I'm away from FS just now!Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cx.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/avsimlogo.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
