Question about Direct 3D and Open GL

Featured Replies

I have a Radeon 9800 pro graphics card and tonight I was looking at my settings for the card when I noticed that I have the Direct 3D setting all on high and the Open GL setting on medium or low. Now my question is should both of them be on the same setting level (I would put them both on high) to get the maximum effect in FS2004? And what does Open GL do in FS2004 if anything at all?

To my knowledge there isnt anything OpenGL related in the sim. Its a whole different engine that other games such as Unreal and those kinds are prone to use.So having them on different settings wont affect FS :)

Thanks :-) I thought since they were set on different setting (the Open GL is still on the default settings) that it might be affecting my FS2004 graphics in some way.
