Back when I had FS9 I had a bunch of France VFR airports, I liked the airports but didn't like that they stuck out like as sore thumb in the winter because they only came with summer ground textures. Now I use P3D v5.4 and I don't have any France VFR sceneries. I am thinking of getting a few and I would like to know if the airports still stick out like a sore thumb in the winter because they only have summer textures. (airports like LFLB and LFST)

I am still using P3D v5.4. I want to use v6 but don't want to go through the hacks just to get things working in v6. I hope one day I will be able use v6, but since the developers don't seem interested in v6 I don't think that day will be anytime soon.

I recently bought Wingsim's SKLT scenery for P3D v5.4 (requirements say it's a v5 scenery). It was on sale (still is) and installed it in my sim. Went to the scenery in the sim and there was a default building sitting on right in the middle of the main apron. I emailed Wingsim and they told me to delete or rename the following files to get rid of the default building APX29330, OBX29330 and BRX29330 in the Prepar3d v5\Scenery\0304 folder. Is this the best way to get rid of the building? They said the building is from Orbx files, but I don't have anything from Orbx that covers South America. simMarket: SKLT, ALFREDO VÁSQUEZ COBO INTL AIRPORT P3D4-5

Do all the FSX planes work in P3D? If not which ones work p3d v5.4?

Thank you for posting this. I usually get a email from Simmarket when a update is available but didn't get one for this update. Also do you know if I need to uninstall the older version before I install this update? Edit: never mind about my question. Their Facebook page says you need to uninstall the old scenery before installing the update.

I have been in touch with Orbx and I think I have my problem fixed now. I am posting what I did in case anyone runs into the same problem. While P3D was running I opened up the add-ons.cfg file located in C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\add-ons.cfg I saved the add-ons.cfg file (both Orbx sceneries were listed in the add-ons.cfg file) then exited the sim. When I started P3D again I was NOT asked to enable the scenery and the scenery was working. So, I think I have it fixed now.

If I can't get it fixed here then I will head over to Orbx.

I tried running P3D as administrator and I also put my UAC setting to the lowest level, no change. P3D asked me to enable the scenery. When you say the file may be set to read-only, what file are you talking about?

No it isn't. I have a add-ons.cfg file in the AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin location and in the ProgramData\Lockheed Martin location. Neither one has the entry.

What exactly am I looking for in the addons.xml? One month ago I installed Gaya Simulations ENCN scenery and Orbx Split scenery. One month later P3D (v5.4) STILL asks me to enable the scenery when I start P3D. I am very frustrated with this now, I have other Obrx scenery I have to install but I don't want to because the sim will just keep asking me to enable them every time. I tried a few things but nothing helps.

I did lower settings in the sim (reduced AI, reduced cloud texture size, and switch to medium graphic settings). But I was hoping I could do something to get better performance without changing settings in the sim. I don't want to keep the lower setting when I am flying at other places in the sim.

Currently I have JustSim's Oslo scenery for P3D v5.4. The performance SUCKS! I have a pretty high-end computer and the sim still crashes at Oslo because of VRAM issues. Even with Dynamic Texture Streaming clicked on and a few settings lowered this scenery comes very close to crashing because of the VRAM. This shouldn't be happening! So now I am thinking of dumping the JustSim scenery and buying the Aerosoft version of Oslo. My question is how is the Aersoft scenery compared to the JustSim scenery? Is the Aerosoft scenery up to date (terminal wise and other buildings)? Does it have SODE jetways (or GSX jetways)? If I don't get the Aerosoft scenery is there anytthing I can do to improve the performance of the JustSim scenery?

I bought this scenery a little while ago. It was a very nice surprise to see a new P3D scenery released. I will support anyone who still makes P3D scenery.

Well, I tried Dynamic Texture Streaming off and it was a bit smoother. Although at LatinVFR's Miami and Fort Lauderdale (and a few other sceneries) VRAM got uncomfortably close to the limit, so at those airports I will leave Dynamic Texture Streaming on.

I always had this option on because with my old setup I was always running out of VRAM and having it on helped a lot. Now that I have a new computer setup I probably have enough (I have 32GB of RAM now) to turn that option off, just haven't done it (probably just forgot about it since it has been clicked on for so long).

I tried the new AFCAD and it is better, but I still see one of my AI planes parking on top of the static plane. It is the static P6-6 that is parked at the end of the PC-9 line up in front of that large hangar.

Was this just posted? Or was this file here from a while now? I did look before I asked this question, but I guess I didn't see it. I will go with Blaunarwal's AFCAD. He knows what he is doing. Me not so much. The scenery isn't all that bad. If I were to rate it, I would give it a 6 out of 10 (10 being Flightbeam quality). The night lighting could be better, and of course an option to delete the static aircraft should have been included. But for me this scenery gets the job done, it was way better that the default scenery.

Yes, that is the scenery. I have their email and did email them a few days ago, I haven't heard back from them yet. I was hoping someone here may know how to delete them. I think last time they send me a exclude file (I don't remember), I looked to see if I had a file from them, but I don't.

There is no configurator for this scenery and unfortunately there is no bgl file with static in the name.

I have Flylogic's Locarno scenery (for P3D v5.4) and I had to reinstall it. The scenery has static aircraft in it and my AI that I have are parking on top of the static aircraft. Does anyone know how to remove the static aircraft? I had the static aircraft removed once before but I forgot how I did it. I did email Flylogic a few days ago asking about removing the static planes, but I haven't heard back from them.

Ok this is very strange, today I started up P3D and for the first time in 2 weeks it did not ask me to enable the three recently installed Orbx sceneries. I didn't do anything either (except to check if the P3D exe had admin rights). All three sceneries are working just fine.

I checked and all my Orbx products are on the add-ons.cfg that is located C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5. And all three sceneries are on the cfg file (even now when the sim is not running). Also the "run as admin is checked for the P3D exe file. It is strange because all my other Orbx sceneries are not asking me to enable them every time I start P3D.
