I have been installing a few older Troplicalsim sceneries made for P3Dv4 into P3Dv5.4 and I have a question about them. So far, all the ones I have installed also want me to install Autogen Configuration Merger tool. I have skipped installing this because I don't know if it is needed for P3Dv5.4 or if it even works in v5.4. Should I go back and install the Autogen Configuration Merge tool? I think the airports look like they are working to me Autogen wise. The airports asking to install Autogen Configuration Merger tool are LPLA, LPGR, TFFF, and LTAI.

At this point I don't really care if the airport is out of date. Because I know it will never be updated for P3D.

On the bottom of the page there is an ad that goes across the whole page. There is a X to close it but it does not close, why?? When in the library page this ad blocks the "next page" button.

Thanks for the heads up. I usually only go to Simmarket and this scenery hasn't shown up on that site yet.

I just didn't like it that much. I did keep the install file though. Maybe if I file to or from that airport, I will use it then delete it when I am done. I just didn't like it enough to keep the scenery installed.

Yes, the problem is solved. it was a SODE xml file that wasn't deleted. The xml file was named SODE_EGHQ. When I was looking for SODE xml files associated with the scenery I was looking for files starting with EGHQ or Newquay not SODE. That is why I didn't see the file the first time I was looking for leftover files.

I deleted that folder already when I first uninstalled the scenery.

I just checked for leftover SODE files and didn't find any. The scenery was installed with an exe file so maybe there was a file installed somewhere that I don't know about. Edit: to uninstall the scenery I used IObit uninstaller which usually gets everything including registry files.

In the avsim library there is a scenery for Newquay airport (EGHQ). It is a P3Dv4 scenery, but I wanted to try it out in P3Dv5.4. It did work in P3Dv5.4 but I didn't like it that much, so I uninstalled it. The scenery had SODE files for runway lights and some other things. Now after I uninstalled the scenery I went to the default Newquay airport and there are red X's where the custom SODE things was. Since I deleted the scenery why is there SODE red X's at the default scenery? How do I get rid of them? Edit: The scenery filename is Newquay_Airport__EGHQ.zip

I have a couple of Aerosoft sceneries that were made for P3Dv4 that were not updated for v5+, I would like to install them into P3Dv5+ (I have fixes for almost all of them so they will work in v5). Can someone explain the me step by step how to do that? When I try to install them into v5.4 the installer asks for the P3Dv4 path, and I don't have P3Dv4 anymore.

Very strange. I have a RTX 3080 and with HDR=0 in the P3D cfg file the HDR lighting is still on in the sim. RTX Dynamic Vibrance is a new Nvidia feature that enhances in-game color, clarity, and contrast. It also improves visibility in darker scenes by boosting saturation. You need a GeForce RTX 20 series card or newer to use it. Think of it kind of like Envshade.

Just a heads up. With the latest Nvidia graphic card driver installed (595.97) you cannot turn the "Enable HDR lighting" option off in P3D. For those of us that use the RTX Dynamic Vibrance option the HDR option has to be turned off for it to work properly. I reverted back to the previous driver (595.79) and the HDR option can be turned off again. Edit: Forgot to mention that in order to turn off HDR in P3D you have to open the P3D cfg file and change HRD=1 to HDR=0. With the newest driver even if you have HDR=0 it will still be on in the sim.

I had my values were 30% intensity and 5% saturation. I will play around with different values.

Here is the before shot. I don't remember the time it was when I took the first shot so the before shot is approximately the same time. I decided to try out Nvidia RTX Dynamic Vibrance to see what it would look like. I am not sure if I like it or not. I think it is because I am so used to what my sim looks like without Nvidia RTX Dynamic Vibrance on. Anyone else using RTX Dynamic Vibrance? How do you like it? Here is a screenshot. What do you think? This is the default C-130 at Fly Tampa's Athens Greece scenery. From what I read in order to use RTX Dynamic Vibrance you need to turn off the HRD and auto exposer setting within P3D. Also make sure you enable windows HDR but turn off auto HDR in your windows settings.

In my opinion I think these window 11 updates are knowingly disabling products so they get us to switch to MSFS.

I finally got a response from FSPXAI (came a few minutes ago). He has been getting a lot of emails with the same problem of no winglets/scimitars on the 737-700, 800, and 900's. He is not completely sure what happened, but he thinks it may be due to a windows update. He said one user noticed the problem after a windows update, then reverted back to a previous update and the winglets/scimitars are now showing for him. He is looking into it to see if it is indeed a windows update that caused the problem.

I am really stumped by this. I cannot figure out what went wrong and how to get the winglets back. I did update my Nvidia graphic card drive last week and I thought that was the problem, but then I thought why would it just affect my 737 AI and nothing else.

I have to go now, but I will check back with this thread later.

What is your email address? I will send it to you. I did look at the cfg files and nothing looks out of the ordinary to me.

If you look closely at the wingtip you can see a bit of the green color where the winglet starts.
