I have a couple of Aerosoft sceneries that were made for P3Dv4 that were not updated for v5+, I would like to install them into P3Dv5+ (I have fixes for almost all of them so they will work in v5). Can someone explain the me step by step how to do that? When I try to install them into v5.4 the installer asks for the P3Dv4 path, and I don't have P3Dv4 anymore.

If you're familiar with editing your system registry, you can add v4 entries to trick installers into thinking it's installed.

I'm primarily a V4 user, but I used the details laid out in that thread to add P3Dv5 entries to my registry so I can extract V5-specific scenery. 

Edit: Disclaimer to those who are unaware -- mistakes in your system registry can really mess things up so I would NOT recommend experimenting with the registry.

Perhaps you can use the Migration Tool: Version 5.0.7.0 – last updated 30 DEC 2024

I installed most of the P3D4 sceneries by just telling the installer my P3DV5 is P3DV4 and it worked flawlessly!

Glad to see this tool still around. I installed p3d v5 just so i could run some old add-ons that i can't get in new sims. I assume it will install p3d v3,and p3d v4 content into p3d v5. I decided not to install p3d v6. What i understand, so much doesn't work in p3d v6.
