March 15, 200422 yr nVidia has posted the latest WHQL driver, 56.64. Only the international version is WHQL, however. My experience with FS2004 so far. My system is described with my signature.(1) The picture quality and fps are quite good. However,.....(2) At AA2X, FS2004 and the system freeze for about 3 seconds when using "Print Screen" or a screen-capture progam. Everything seems ok then.(3) At AA greater than 2X, FS2004 and the system completely freeze when using "Print Screen" or a screen-capture progam. I had to manually poweroff my computer (holding in the start button until it shuts off).(4) Both Print Screen and my screen capture program work if the AA setting is left at "Application Controlled". I have AA off inside FS2004.Others experiences? Dick Parker in Northeast Ohio USA Windows 10 64-bit | Nvidia GTX 1080 | ORBX | P3D 4.4.16.27077
March 15, 200422 yr Just been to try d/l the new drivers and the NVidia website d/l page is very unresponsive at this time (2200Z) - I guess everyone is trying to get them - might be wise to wait a while.Dave
March 17, 200422 yr We have about the same specs except I have XP Pro. I'm sorry to hear about the print screen issue. I have had the 2 second pause ever since their last drivers and since I have switched to AA on the card rather than FS (no biggie).Currently my AA is set to 4x on the card. Does the full lock-up happen each time the print screen is pressed? I may want to wait. Thanks,JD
March 17, 200422 yr Author I never use the AA inside FS2004 based on what I have read on these forums and other places.Yes, when my AA is set higher than 2X in full screen mode, my system completely freezes when "Print Screen" is used. The sound also freezes to a steady, choppy whine.I also posted my results on the guru3d driver forum and a responder there said nVidia was aware of the bug.
