I'm expecting the benefit (if any) to be in smoothness not frame rate....I can set affinity to assign a processor for FS9 and many other processes. However, for Sygate Firewall and Norton Anti-virus (two things that I see grabbing cycles), the set affinity seems to be blocked and I can't even see the settings let alone change them. All I want to do is put FS9 on the processor where these aren't if possible.Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a way around this (e.g. ImageCFG.exe) or are these off limits for my own good? Thanks.
