I have an ATI 8500DV card and I have been running FS9 an the original driver. It's a hit an miss with the performance. I tried to update the driver on several occasions, and every time I tried to install the new driver (following the ATI'S instructions word for word), my system FREEZES. I even tried to install in SAFE mode to no avail.Anybody with an ATI card had problem in installing new drivers and eventually succeeded?Would appreciate any help.Thanks.Abe

Boy, I would like to help. But I have never had any problems. I use an 8500 128 meg card. I always uninstall the old drivers and the control panel first. Good luck.

I guess yo have a problem with parts of oldr drivers that are not completely uninstalled.There is a utility out there that is called driver cleaner. I do not exacly know whwre it is at but I guess either www.guru3d.com or driverheaven would be a good place to start.Alex
