Can FS2004 Run Faster With HT?

Featured Replies

I remember reading some articles in the past about HT and flight simming. Well here is another article that might help us squeeze that last drop of CPU power out of our computers.http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/20040528/index.htmlTerry

Well, this topic was really researched by Reality-XP as far as HT for FS2004 is concerned. The verdict - you won't see any improvement in FS2004 simply because the other threads that run in FS2004 do absolutely (or next to) nothing so there is no real CPU load to spread between those two threads.Michael J.

Micheal, Maybe FS2004 is not HT friendly but how about all of the other stuff running in the background? Maybe it would free up some resources.Terry

I've been wondering the same thing. What if you ran FS9 on CPU 0 and everything else on CPU 1? If I wasn't so lazy I'd of tried it by now.David
