June 23, 200421 yr First thing I'd recommend is that you lower your UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT to 25-28 at the most. Next, lower your TERRAIN_ERROR_FACTOR to 85-90. You'll not notice the difference, but your CPU won't have to work as hard. If you're not running any addon mesh lower the TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX to 19, otherwise the value you have is fine. The TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS and TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS seem backward. On my system I run the TER at a bit higher value than the TDR. The TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS value is also somewhat screwy. In FS2002 that value would work fine, but they changed things in FS9. For some reason (and I've yet to hear a good explanation) folks are seeing some goofy 6-7 digit value there. You might want to back-up your entire existing FS9.cfg and let the sim rebuild a new one. Then copy and paste any special sections or lines you have added to the original into the new version.Hope this helps,Greg
