Default zoom level for all VC and Wingviews?
FlyinIron406 replied to FlyinIron406's topic in PMDG 777
Hey 777simmer, Mine sequences that way also, sorry for the confusion. And, the issue with the zoom was definitely related to that WideViewAspect being false! Now all is well! Thanks! -
Default zoom level for all VC and Wingviews?
FlyinIron406 replied to FlyinIron406's topic in PMDG 777
This WideViewAspect helped exponentially! Is it something to be checked within FSX? I thought I had it set up, but installing multiple things I had a few cfg changes! Then I had a CTD from an unknown module, but at least my view is better :) Thanks! -
Default zoom level for all VC and Wingviews?
FlyinIron406 replied to FlyinIron406's topic in PMDG 777
Thanks Rick! I could do that for sure. I was just curious if something was wrong with the install. The high overhead view (first one you hit A to get) basically shows just a brown square. I have to zoom out, using the - key, about 3 times. Same for about every other view, about 3 hits of the - key! To others, thank you for the suggestions. I do know about holding the SB and hitting the +- keys to zoom, as well as the hold SHIFT while doing it for fine zoom! Also, anyone have any suggestions on screenshots. I have a mac keyboard with no print screen function. So, is there a program people use? Thanks! -
Hey all! Been a LONG, LONG time! Just got back to loading FSX up on my iMac under bootcamp, and it's been running nice! Got the 777 and love it! I've had one CTD from the PMDG_777x.dll, descending into KJFK from KSFO. Maybe a scenery refresh issue, though I don't have any third party installed, so I'm not sure! My other question is though, is there a way to adjust or make the views more appropriate in regards to zoom (default)? Every VC and wing view is very zoomed in, and I have to zoom out a bit to see what I think was intended to be seen! Thanks so much! Kreg

I didn't read the whole lot of posts, but I'll just say PDC (Pre Departure Clearance) is awesome! Prints your route, easy to read. Usually in SFO, if you fly the SFO8 they ask you to call them to verify. Most times the ATIS (LAX especially) asks you to only repeat the SID and Squawk!

Best Airbus payware at the moment ? (FSX)
FlyinIron406 replied to korn101's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Never saw the FBW fix Tim, Thanks. I actually had a terrible experience with Aerosoft and the Airbus X, which is surprising for an upstanding company such as them. I installed it, and the problems began. I'm a real pilot that jumpseats (rides in the cockpit) of many A3xx's. Well, for me, the plane was completely useless and unflyable. Landing was impossible. The joystick would not work at all, until 100 ft, but still too late to salvage a landing. I'm not going to change my settings for EVERY single airplane I load. Planes should be modeled with nominal settings. Maybe that's my fault. When I contacted support, all I got was "Sorry, we can not refund [i wasn't really expecting one but had to ask...first FS product i've ever asked on] digital products. We can not offer support, we have never seen that issue". That's the best they could do for me. Super frustrating. FBW is great and all, but in real life that contributes to a normal feel in the flying the airplane, just as one would get with a Boeing yoke. Not locking the pilots out of hand flying until 100 ft. I'm interested in the FBW fix and I'll try tomorrow. But, unless that works some serious magic, I can't in good conscious recommend this product. I'd suggest the freeware PA planes. -

Awesome, love the layout! Very cool idea!

By perusing some of my addon planes: In aircraft you want to do this, locate or create the sound folder, and create a file with notepad or wordpad, and call it sound.cfg. In that file, type this: [fltsim]alias="aircraft folder you want sounds from"\sound example [fltsim]alias=Airbus_A321\sound Hope that helps!

Thanks! I'll look into that! Unfortunately, I saw a bit late...I lost my 3000+ hrs on FS9 and 1000+ on FSX. I guess none of that matters compared to my 3020+ RL flying time, which will never be lost....but still a bummer!

For me, it was the Logbook.BIN file that created the same issue. I just deleted it, and it rebuilt a new one. However, skimming through, it seems that didn't work for you? Good luck on this! I remember starting with a fresh install, when it wouldn't work, I had to reinstall my whole computer, Win7 and everything.

Awesome! That was exactly it!! Perfect!

Hey Guys/Gals, Was wondering if some of you could tell me how to get rid of the "cameras" FS Recorder installs in aircraft?! Thanks, -K ps. also posted at Orbx

Hey All, I was curious as to where I can change, for each aircraft (primarily the Carenado 337 and 210), the default X Y Z location and zoom for the VC. Another thing that would be great would be to find out where I can make it so I can pan around the additional VC views of the Carenado newest releases! Also, If I could figure out where to change the Pan Rate for each specific aircraft, I'd be greatly appreciative (I did find the general settings in Cameras.cfg). Thanks a bunch, K ps. also posted at Orbx
