Where to change default VC zoom, location, and PAN Rate.

Featured Replies

Hey All, I was curious as to where I can change, for each aircraft (primarily the Carenado 337 and 210), the default X Y Z location and zoom for the VC. Another thing that would be great would be to find out where I can make it so I can pan around the additional VC views of the Carenado newest releases! Also, If I could figure out where to change the Pan Rate for each specific aircraft, I'd be greatly appreciative (I did find the general settings in Cameras.cfg). Thanks a bunch, K ps. also posted at Orbx

Look for the eyepoint definition in the aircraft.cfg file which controls the XYZ location As an example, try eyepoint = -9.0, -0.91, 2.19 in the C337 to sit a bit higher.

Andy, thanks, I understand that....Bert, thanks! So Z is actually = to what Y would be? Any idea how to change the pan rate. I see how to do it in the Camera's cfg, but man, the Pan Rate on the newest Carenado planes is super fast!

The trick is that the translation values that you need to adjust the eyepoint in the aircraft.cfg file are not in the same sequence, nor in the same units.. sad.png Once you realize that the translation values (that can be found in a saved flight FLT file) are x,y,z but the eyepoint values are z,x,y and that the translation values are in meters, but the eyepoint values are in feet, then you are pretty much there! Don't know about the pan rates though...
