Help from the European brothers? EU flightplans?

Recommended Posts

Hey All,I was wondering if any of our EU brothers could help me here! For flights inside the US I have Flightware etc for real world flight plans and destinations. I also have my own issued Jepps (and the Jepp iPad app from my company), as well as all other places via free sites. Is there anything like that for Europe, Russia, Orient etc? I don't know how to get RW flightplans, and have never been able to find charts. Also, if anyone could suggest a good 2 hr flight out of LPPT with a real flightplan, and a 737-8 or 9, it would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

SIDS and STARS for most major UK airports, plus some other stuff. Many of these airports will give you a two hour flight to Lisbon: http://www.nats-uk.ead-it.com/public/index.php%3Foption=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=165&Itemid=3.html Flight planner for sims: http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ You can get to Eurocontrol's Central Flow Management Unit (i.e. the place where airlines actually file their flight plans) at this link: http://www.eurocontrol.int/ Al

Also, on Vatsim (and I'd presume it also applies to their IVAO counterparts) you find charts for most countries or at least links to resources where they are available. Just pick a country from the european VATSIM division page http://vateud.net/ , go to its webpage and start searching. Mikaels suggestion EAD is also a very good resource

I have a nice suggestion for a LPPT route: to EHAM Amsterdam Schiphol. I flew this route (both EHAM to LPPT and LPPT to EHAM) in a Transavia liveried iFLY 737-800 back in June, and it was about 2 hours 25 minutes. Route was taken from Vataware.com, it has the vatsim routes filed by their pilots which I believe are close to or equal to real world routings. I use that site for all my euro routes. I find that for European flightplans, EURoutePro (recommended by VATSIM, I think it underpins quite a few of their apps and sites too) and IVAO Route database work pretty well, URLs are:http://www.ivao.aero/db/route/http://www.euroutepr...fp/fp_main.php? If there is no route for where you want to fly in the above databases, there is a fairly decent generator at:http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ As for charts, there is a pan European one but it's not the most user friendly thing and requires a free registration. I will post the link later if I can find it. Best bet is to check out the VATSIM regional websites for charts. Chris.

Two more tools for Flightplans:VATroute (especially for routes to or from Austria/Germany/Switzerland) orvroute (worldwide routes) for Charts: chartviewer.at (uses the VATEUD charts database)

http://ead-website.ead-it.com/publicuser/public/pu/login.jspThat's site to get all the current charts for all of Europe, free registration.Although that site contains uk charts, as others have posted it's a bit clunky in it's operation, if you want UK far better to go to http://www.nats-uk.ead-it.com/Some others have posted some decent links for fp, but some I'd stay away from as generally they produce incorrect routes. And here a couple of FP for faro instead, be able to get some lppt next week. Below is Ryanair plan - note this route changes based on winds etc, and start point will very depending on runway in use but generally same from PORTA outbound. There about 5 different versions of this route.LPFR SOTEX DCT PORTA UN873 BARDI/N0459F380 UN873 BAKUL UN863 AVANT UL980 MID UM185 OCK Q3 HEMEL T420 BUZAD EGBBEGBB CPT UY321 PEPIS UQ41 SAM UN621 BASIK UZ150 NOVAN UN864 MONTO UN857 SVL UN747 ONUBA R47 VFA LPFREGBB CPT Y321 PEPIS UQ41 SAM UN866 QPR UM30 ROVAK UZ218 MOSEN DCT ABRAT DCT MARIM LPFR (a 28 arrival route)Edit LPPT ROUTE, again multiple versions of this route are flown depending on runways and windsEGBB CPT Y321 PEPIS UQ41 SAM UN866 QPR UM30 VES UN872 FTM LPPTLPPT FTM UP600 STG UN866 QPR UM30 SALCO UN864 NUMPO DCT GROVE EGBB ( note from perup to grove this part of the route is outside controlled airspace and normally controlled by the military with handoff to EGBB) LPPT FTM G41 VES UM30 QPR UN472 ARE UN621 DOMOK Q41 ORTAC UL980 MID UM185 OCK WCO EGBB (grove star from WCO)
