July 18, 200421 yr Hi,I need advice! A week ago I had a strange crash in my PC while flying in FS9. A message poped out saying that "Windows has recovered from a serious error", shown in a screen in very low resolution. After that my PC isn Edmundo Azevedo
July 18, 200421 yr I would try reinstalling the MOBO controller chip drivers, i.e, Intel, VIA, SiS, AMD, ALi, NForce. Also run the directx diagnostic, press Start, Run..., type dxdiag, OK. Let the diagnostic stabilize, check the directx version, 9.0b recommended. Select the display tab, ensure directdraw, direct3d, and agp accelerations are enabled. If grayed out reinstall the MOBO controller chip drivers. Run the directdraw and direct3d test.W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
July 18, 200421 yr Hello Edmundo,W. Sieffert's recommendations are good ones. I would also check your disk for errors. There's two ways to do this. Here is one way.Pull up Windows Explorer. Right-click on the drive letter you want Windows to check for errors. Click the 'Tools' tab. You'll see 'Error-checking'. Click the 'Check Now' button. Check the 'Automatically fix file system errors' bullet. If it tells you it can't check until the next time you reboot then you can of course reboot right then, or just wait until the next time you want to reboot.Hope that helps,Jim
