Which of these sub-$200 video cards for my system?

Hi, I'm about to upgrade. I figure with all the knowlege of pros and cons (and stay-away-froms) in this forum it's better to ask than to just go on the advice of a salesperson. Someone here said stay away from "LE" cards - that's what the salesman recommended ;)The cards are basically the ones available at CompUSA (I have a credit) and here's a link to the page of the cards:http://www.compusa.com/products/products.a...1&CusaNe=200454And I don't know, for example, if I should necessarily get a card just because it's 256 vs. 128 megs... Just got back from CompUSA...I'm not against spending $50-100, either!Plus, the guy pointed out that I should know my power supply strength, which I don't... Ah, I guess you -can- learn something at that place.Andrew

I would wait a bit and save a little more dough for a complete system upgrade. You'll get much more bang for the buck.Check out the article link below, a very good system (AMD 64, OCZ PC3200, MSI Neo) for $1028, which you can cut back to $517 if you can reuse some old components (e.g., monitor, case, hard drive, CD-RW). I would go with a 9800 though (see the alternative configuration).http://www.anandtech.com/guides/showdoc.aspx?i=2122

AndrewI'm not sure the newer AGP cards would be compatable with your system (even though it does have an AGP slot). A PCI card should work though. David
