August 9, 200421 yr Potential buyers should be aware that there can be problems with this stick under Windows XP. On my PC and some other PCs it has to be unplugged then re-plugged in every time the PC is started. Saitek acknowledges this on its official forum and admits that it can't fix it.http://www.saitekforum.com/showthread.php?threadid=5806I believe that the same problem may apply to the Gold stick.Despite a statement on the box that it is suitable for XP, and the User Manual explaining how to install it on XP, the drivers themselves have NOTt passed the Windows Logo test. Saitek claims that there is a hardware fault in the stick that new drivers cannot cure.Despite this fault being discussed in its official forum in April 2003, Saitek continued to sell this stick as late as January 2004 when I bought mine and possibly later. The advice from Saitek Technical Support is a link to the official forum. I tried the solution given there but it didn't work. Gerry Howard
