need some help with my radeon 9800 pro

Featured Replies

hey folks!i just got my new sapphire atlantis radeon 9800 pro (128mb ddr) and now i'd like to know which drivers you guys use for that card + how you tune it (without overclocking)! please help me!

Peter - I have the same card and have found that any of the Catalyst drivers from 4.3 to 4.7 (the latest) have essentially the same performance. I run mine at 6X FSAA and 16X AF with Quality settings on both. My suggestion is load the 4.7 drivers ( www.ati.com ), and then play with the settings checking the appearance and framerate. It won't take long to find the settings that fit your personal tastes.DougPS: OC'ing this card makes virtually no difference with FS9.

I run mine at 4x AA and 4X AF at 1280x1024 res. Looks great. Mine is overclocked a bit though using RAGE3D's overclocker utility.

thanx a lot guys, got some nice settings now! :-hah
