Thanks for the brilliant YS-11

I have to say that AFG have made a very loving recreation of the YS-11, an unusual little commuter prop. The visual model is superb and with the 2.0 release, the cockpit and virtual cockpit are very nice too. In fact, I consider this one of the finest panels I have for fs2k2. The key systems are modelled, especially the ones that make the YS-11 unique like water/methanol injectors, fuel cocks, the unique engine rpm control system, and more. It even models failures when you abuse the systems! I couldn't find anything that didn't seem to work correctly - everything appeared to have the effect it should right down to the landing lights that need to be extended before you can see them turn on.After reading the interesting docs, I took a commuter run into Honolulu this morning and the aircraft was a joy to fly. The flight model really seems to gel with the comments from the pilot they had helping them. If you enjoy the challenge of flying a realistic aircraft without FMCs, etc., and it you like having to follow correct procedure to avoid engine failure, this is a bird you really should try.http://www.alliedfsgroup.com/Happy flying,Philip.

Too graphic-intensive for my old but thrusty rig :-(

Yes. excellent!Great attention to details. Check out the landing gear structs....Move back into the virtual passenger cabin and then look to the left. Read the README (not in front of me now) and see how to operate the very realistic passenger stairs and door! Wonderful job on the entire plane.Thank you.............................................................
