  • 2 weeks later...

The 8.07's are actually the beta's for the 4.11's. ATI (and some of the tweakers like Omega) rushed them to the public after 3DMark05 was released so they could get better scores (yawn!). The 8.07's make full use of the new Catalyst AI.The 256MB fix is for any ATI 9xxx and X800 card that has 256MB on board. ATI's claim is that they had not previously optimized their drivers for the above cards' memory size (Uhmmm... never mind).FWIW, I tried the Omegaized 8.07's (2.5.90) and noticed no difference in this or any of the sims I fly. Perhaps they work better with FPS games or other folks' systems, but they did nothing for me. Went back to the 2.5.76's because the 2.5.90's wouldn't allow me to run AF at anything other than "Performance". The 76's work just fine for me.Hope this helps,Greg
