October 22, 200421 yr I was considering getting the 9700 pro instead of the 9800 pro as it may require less power (??)Also the specs are close, both use 256-bit, 8 vs 12 pipelines, both use 128M DDR memory (I think so anyway)And I would save a hundred bucks.Im not too particular about highest fps, but quality of inmage and AA/AN usage is wanted so I though the 9700 pro would do the same at less fps Does it require an extra power connection as the 9800 pro does?any comments appreciated.allen
