Screen "Sparklies" A Problem?

Featured Replies

Had this happen a few weeks ago but, as it cleared after a reboot, I didn't think anymore of it. However, it happended again this evening. Not sure if the shot shows it very well but the screen is covered in bright sparkly lights. This also affected the screen text when exiting out of FS9. Sparkies occured after 1/2 of flight. Any ideas as to what could be the cause? The last time happened when I tried 1280X1024 display (I normally use 800X600). This happended after switching to 1024X768.Perhaps my monitor is starting to give up? It's 17" and about 4 years old. Not sure about the model, it came with a Tiny PC (my brothers).Windows XP SP2Radeon 9600 Pro512MB RamAthlon XP 1800+FSActive CameraActiveSkyhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/95312.jpg

Looks like a video card problem to me. Could be overheating. Is it overclocked?

No, it's not overclocked. I haven't seen this affect anywhere else except on FS.
