February 13, 200521 yr I have read in another forum that the Saitek EVO stick has a problem with "drifting to the left".The Saitek web site also recognizes this problem and makes some suggestions. One owner told me that he must constantly recalibrate the stick.I have a question to EVO owners. Is the EVO worth buying? I do not use rudder pedals, and my pull out computer table is too small for the Saitek 45 or 52 sticks. How bad is this drifting problem? Any patches to correct it?Stanner
February 14, 200521 yr I own one. No drifting problem for me. Great stick for FS. The only issue I have with it is in a different game. BF1942. It has an issue with the twist axis in that game. Known issue with no fix. But it is great for FS.Dave
February 14, 200521 yr I have a Saitek Cyborg EVO too.No drifting problem here either. No need to recalibrate what so ever, very happy with it. It replaces my Logitech Cordless Wingman, batteries run out very quickly and if you don't touch it for a minute the throttle firewalls! Have seen countless airport buildings from the inside! *:-* Imho the EVO 'feels' better then the Wingman too. Have a CH Yoke and Pedals too but i notice i'm using them less and less since i got the EVO. Good choice! ( again imho )cheers,Jan
February 14, 200521 yr Yes, I had the same problem and for a joystick that is certainly not cheap to buy, I thought it was too much.I now use the 'USB' CH Flight Yoke' and can't believe why I didn't choose one before! The level of sensitivity is unique. All the best,Dave.'Three greens and soft landings' Dave Taylor
February 14, 200521 yr I have the Evo and I don't have any problems with it. I did briefly use a Logitech Extreme 3D but it certainly had calibration problems so I replaced it after a few months.I also have the CH Yoke but I prefer the Evo becase it's more precise, more comfortable and takes up much less space on the desk. -
