February 19, 200521 yr Ok, so my LCD came last night that I had posted about a couple days ago...I got home late last night and messed with it until about 3am :-lol Anyway, FS looks absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! I have got my LCD set as my primary monitor through the DVI connection on my Radeon 9800 Pro and my CRT set as the secondary monitor on the analog connection with the option of "extend desktop to this monitor" enabled. I am able to drag windows from the LCD over to the CRT, BUT, only while working in XP. I start FS up and I want to drag panel windows over to it but I am unable to, they just stop at the edge of the screen on the LCD and I am unable to move them to the CRT. I have tried this in full screen and windowed mode and I have also checked to see if they are docked or undocked, neither way seems to work. Also, when I first tried dragging windows last night, I was able to drag them off the left side of the LCD to the CRT, which sits on my left. I then messed with which was primary/secondary monitor and then back to what it was originally. Now, when I drag a window to the CRT, I have to drag off the RIGHT side of the screen of the LCD which is a little odd since the CRT is to the left. Anyway...am I doing something wrong? I appreciate any and all help! February 19, 200521 yr In FS you first need to go into windowed mode then bring up the item you want to move to the other monitor(Radio, GPS ect..) and then rightclick on it and select undock, grab the border and then move it to the secondary monitor. Once you have all you want there reselect full screen again. As far as which side you drag a window to, that is defined under the video driver , I dont use ATI so not sure how they are set up.
February 19, 200521 yr Moderator <>Right-click the Desktop and choose Properties. Choose the Settings tab. What you should see is the CRT monitor to the left of the TFT. Click once on the representation of each monitor and you should get a popup saying either primary monitor or secondary monitor.Make sure the TFT is your primary and the CRT is the secondary and that they are correctly positioned relative to one another. You will probably need to drag the CRT so it's to the left of the TFT. I think you have them the other way around.Drag the icon representing the monitor - not the monitor itself of course :-lol Ray (Cheshire, England).
