March 12, 200521 yr Hi Mark, here'as a link to Adrian's Rojak Pot which lists the Nvidia GPU features (at the bottom there's a link to Ati too): http://www.rojakpot.com/default.aspx?locat...&var1=88&var2=1Basicly, the MX440 is DX7 whilst the 4800 is DX8. If you can, try to get one without a SE. Otherwise, a cheap, very decent alternative which 'does' DX9 is an Ati 9600pro. Good luck and kind regards Jaap

March 12, 200521 yr The following two articles from Tom's hardware guide should help Mark.http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20031229/index.htmlhttp://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20041004/index.htmlAs others have said try and avoid the SE models, they tend to be poorer performers than the non-SE cards.
