April 30, 200521 yr I finally bit the bullet & upgraded my old GF3 Ti200 VC to an ATI X700Pro AGP card (my 1st ATI card btw). Install went fine but device manager shows the card residing in a PCI slot instead of the AGP slot. This can't be normal. Before installing the new ATI I removed my Nvidia through device manager, uninstalled the drivers with "Add/Remove" programs, rebooted & then ran Detonator R.I.P. I then shut down & installed the new card, booted up & proceeded with driver installation with the provided CD.System is Intel 845GEBV2 mobo with latest chipset & BIOS installed Intel P4 2.4 GHZ Processor 768 Meg PC 2700 RAM Win XP Home SP2 ATI Radeon X700 Pro AGP Driver Version 6.14.10.6512I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with my upgrade thus far. I didn't expect to see a huge jump in FPS but I did expect to be able to bump up my settings without suffering in FPS. That so far has not been the case.Any ideas? TIA Jim
April 30, 200521 yr Hi Jim....When you start up system.... hit that delete button to get to Biosand make the approiate adjustment in bios for vid card pci to agpHope this helpsSteve
April 30, 200521 yr Author Thanks for the suggestion Steve but that has been done already with no success. My BIOS was always set to AGP as my GF3 card was AGP.This one has me stumped.Jim
May 1, 200521 yr You may have inadvertently deleted the AGP drivers for your motherboard. See this ATI article for assistance: https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default...&task=knowledge. If this doesn't resolve your problem, then suggest you uninstall/reinstall your ATI video card drivers. In addition, there's a later driver for your video card on the ATI site which may have fixed this issue. Hope this helps.Jim
