All of a sudden I see these commands in my startup"C:Documents and SettingsAll Users.WindowsStart MenuPrograms|StartupI tried to delete them, I could NOT!Another command file "t7e39i.exe" or "j78xnte.exe" are recognized as spyware. I delete them, but they come back.I ran a virus check......it show NO virus.Would appreciate any help.Thanks.Abe

Hi Abe,I would do the following:(1) make sure I update my anti-virus to the latest definitions available and run it again, making sure scan for ALL files option is selected (not just for DEFAULT files).(2) press CTRL-ALT-DEL and to go task manager-processes. Do you see any processes in there which look similar to those filenames or any processes which you may find unusual? Sounds like a possible virus. so go to the website for Symantec Security response and see if you can find any new viruses recently discovered which resemble yours in their symptoms.John.

Thanks John for the reply.I isolated the files "t7e39i.exe" and "j78xnte.exe" dilemma. I figure that they are generated by 'Download Accelerator'. I used 'regedit' and wiped them up completely because they were regenerating when I used a simple search and delete. Now to the other problem.I have 2 instances of the following command "C:Documents and SettingsAll Users.WindowsStart MenuPrograms|Startup.I go there, but I cannot delete "Startup". After pressing Ctr+Alt+Del, I could not find anything unusual, unless it is 1 of the 4 'svchost.exe' that shows there. My AVG anti-virus is up to date. And could not find any virus when I scanned my drive.Would appreciate any further help.Thanks.Abe

It is normal to have several "svchost.exe" running. Each is for a different service. You can delete them in startup but they will reappear unless you disable the service in your Services section (Administrative Tools/Services).Jim
