LOSS FPS !!!!! NEED HELP PLEEEEEEASE

Featured Replies

I use to get 36 fps (because thats were i have it locked)with my fx5200 and now I'm getting around 28 fps . Just to back up a little, I installed a new graphics card (Nvidia Geforce fx5700le) and was unsatisfied so i returned it, and now i'm still using my old 128mb fx5200 (i know it sucks) with the 56.72 drivers... tried the newer drivers but to no avail.THANKS IN ADVANCE

I dunno much about that card, but is it possible that its just natural? Computers slow naturally, try de-fragging your hard drive.Sorry cant help more :(

You mean..MS Windoes deteriotes.MS Windoes is a perishable item. :)

Its not necessarily MS's fault (I know we all love to blame them but stick with me here). Although MS does play a huge role in making FPS lower in the first place, they put files for FS all over the dammed hard drive, and the program has to seek to different places to run FS, slowing it down.:-fume But computers do and will slow down over time, due to people installing new programs, downloading stuff haphazordly etc, it just clutters the hard drive. A de-frag can do wonders believe me. Thats why I am building a FS only machine, install the essentials for FS and basic use and leave it the #### alone, makes sure the HD dosent get cluttered. Also check for spyware, annoying stuff like that can slow down FS. Always have your firewall up except when playing FS.BTW for those who dont know it a de-frag means moving files into one chunk of the physical drive. If you look at your analysis (My computer-right click on drive, properties-tools-defrag now) and see a lot of red spikes all over the place then you need to defrag. If it mostly blue and green that is all you can do with Defrag. Otherwise I would try deleting programs you don't use, deleting downloads that are no longer necessary (on my laptop I have a downloads folder, if it was a room I couldnt get to the door)When it comes to the idea it might be the Video Card I dunno what to do for you although I can foward you to a topic on vatsim, with some driver stuff.http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?t=2525Hope I helped
