CH Pedals problem

Featured Replies

Having a little trouble with my pedals and hoped someone might know what's going on and help me out a bit please.I have pedals and yoke which work fine apart from one small problem. The pedals won't center no matter how many time a calibrate them. They always pull left. I can set dead zones etc but although that stops the planes pulling left it just makes the left pedal very sensitive and the right has lots of travel before doing anything. There is no adjustment I can see to make to the pedals themselves unless I take them apart. That is the last resort if I can help it. Any help would be great Thanks.David G

Hi David; I hesitate to respond to your question for fear of getting my headbitten off:D, but here goes. You did not specify if you're a new user of the pedals or not,but if you are:1. If you have realism settings set fairly high; in high power, low speed conditions...ground roll..take off...climb..most FS aircraft require quite a bit of right rudder to compensate for P factor ect. 2. Check to make sure your rudder is centered and trim neutral. 3. You may have to use a little rudder trim to achive desired results. Now if you have had the pedals for a while and this is a new problemdisregard all that I have said. :-lol On my setup upon starting a new flight I have to run both the yokeand pedals thru thier complete range of motion a few times or elsethe plane is darned near uncontrolable, and I have no clue why. Itsalways been that way, and its just like the regular control check you'ddo in real life so what the heck. It could be a Pot going bad if its just suddenly started happening. If all else fails you might try CH support forums they have a factory guy who checks in pretty frequently. Hope this helps some. DennyProfesional Tourist

I wouldn't dream of bitting your head off for just trying to help.I have had the pedals awhile and I'm a reasonable pilot i think but the problem is not just in fs. You can see the same effect in the windows calibration window too. It has done this since day 1 but as they where bought used from a friend at the flying club so I couldn't return them. He had the problem too but I thought it was just him (as you do). I'll give the CH forum a try. Thanks

Hi,I have exactly the same problem with my CH Pro Pedals (USB).There is no work around and the problem exists only with WinXP !!!!I emailed CH but their responce was not helpfull. Finally I downloaded the CH Manager and while it's a mess to setup and calibrate them, they do function better.Good luck!George DorkofikisAthens, Greecehttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/811520/1704.pnghttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpg
