CH Pedals - right toe brake died

Featured Replies

Has anyone else had this happen? The right toe-brake just quit working. It's NOT an assignment problem in FS. When viewing the controller in the control panel, it seems to be constantly sending "255" (highest value possible) no matter what position it is in. I've tried recalibrating as well.Any idea how to fix what I assume is a hardware problem? Right now I'm usng the left-right rocker switch on the CH Yoke for differential braking. If it's not possible to fix the problem I'll probably keep doing it that way rather than go and spend $130 on another set of pedals..

Sounds like one of the wires broke off to right toe brake pot. I assume your pedals are out of warranty, otherwise send them back to CH for them to fix.If you are lucky, you may just have to remove the plate covering the right pedal, which is where the right toe brake pot lives. If not, deeper surgery may be required - watch for where the springs go! You can probably find a disassembly guide somewhere on the internet if you need one.Gary
