Problem with CH Yoke and pedals

Featured Replies

Hi to all:I was wondering if any one here can help me out with this.I have a CH yoke and pedal with a game pad port, I upgraded my PC to a system that my sound card in on the mother board, so no more game port. I baught a game port converter to USB "ROCKFIRE" with 4 different mode , and one of them is suppose to be for the CH yoke. Now when I try to use it, it recognise it but all the bouttons are in conflict, and at the end I have like 2 bouttons working.Any help what can I do to fixe it, or that's mean I have to put my yoke and pedals away.Any help will be much appreciatedThanks in advanceWalouigi

Hi Walouigi; Try this: Open FS to the main page. Click on "settings". On the right side of the page in the "Controls" block click on "Assignments". In the upper right side of this page should be a dialog box titled "Joy stick type"click on the down arrow at the right and it should display both the yoke and pedals. Highlight the heading for Yoke. Now scroll down the list of control assignments until you find one you wish to assign. Highlight it. Click the "change assignment" button. A dialog box will pop up telling you to activatethe switch on the controler that you wish to control the event...do so. It may then tellyou that the switch is mapped to another control, and ask you if you want to proceed..answeryes. Go thru all of the commands that you want to map, just be careful to select the rightheading in the scrolldown list IE: "Flaps extend incrementally" rather than "Flaps extendfully" or "Elevator trim down" rather than "Elevator pitch down" and so forth. Hope this is of some help. DennyGreetings from KC Mo:-wave

Thank you very much Denny, But I did try this, the problem after connecting the CH yoke and pedal with an adaptor, when I go to calibrate, when I press 1 botton 2 or 3 hilight at the same time, that's mean I can assigne this 1 botton to 1 action and the other 2 or 3 are lost, I was wondering if there is something I am doing wrong to make sure that the system read the proper configuration of my yoke as it used to be with a gamepad . Is there any kind of driver to remap all the bottons or something .Any of your help will be appreciated.Walouigi

Oh man,,,,I HATE that Rockfire thing,,lol............Have you tried moving that slider switch on the adapter? I believe there are like 4 positions. Try each setting, then try setting it up in the game's controller settings. I'll bet you did this already, but I know that rockfire thing likes to change things all by itself. One day,all your settings are correct and working, the next day, everything is all screwed up! If nothing else works, you might have to get a soundcard that has a gameport on it............I thought that CH yoke was usb,no?Stan

CH can be either USB or Gameport, your preference, I know a lot of people who had a bunch of frustrations trying Gameport-USB conversions, the data is sent differently, the entire thing is different at its core

Hi again:Yes it is a gameport one, but in very good shape, that's why I was trying to use.I think the way way data is transferd is completely diffirent.I thank you all for your help, I kind had an idea about this, but I neede a second opinion. Thanks a lotWalouigi
