unable to connect multiplayer in fs 9 with sb3

Featured Replies

I have fs9 installed, given firewalls authorizations for fs9 and sb3, tried "20.000 times" to connect mp with sb3 and ....I still can't connect my fs9 with sb3 session, not automatically , not manually. So I ran " dxdiag" and under the network tab under "Registered Lobbyable DirectPlay Applications" : registry : Ok file: fs9.exe version: file missing Does you anybody has any idea if this could be the problem: 1. Is this missing file causing the problem not being able to connect mp and/or mp with sb3?2. If so, which file is missing and how it can be solved? Or any other idea why the multiplayer won't connect, oh yeah, I DON'T have the Linkys router, so that can't be the problem either. This forum is my final try, if not I give up...I know it is a problem that occurs many times, but having read and tried all the suggestions for a solution, it still doesn't work!!!Appreciate your help, Denis

I don't know a lot about dx and its relationship to programs. but, when I run dxdiag. the screen to which you refer shows that I have version 9.01...another thought comes to mind; you might want to be certain that you have the latest fsuipc. you can find it in the avsim library.but, the real reason I am writing is to suggest that you use FSINN instead of sb3. It's a good program, but as you know, setups can be difficult. fsinn does the same as sb3, but imo, is a more elegant piece of software... here's the link for fsinnhttp://www.mcdu.com/en/download.phpscoll down to the fsinn, and you might also want to download the "toolbox"...read the docs and if you have any questions, just ask.Sherm
