Anybody ever use this combo...

It's a shot in the dark. Anybody using an Asus P4S8X motherboard (an older 1st generation 8x AGP board), with an ATI 9800 Pro at 8x?Sounds like it should work because the specs say so but after several months of testing (and replacing the boards twice), I have come to the conclusion that FS2004 cannot run with these at 8x... unless someone can prove me wrong (please do! :) )

Run the card at 4X. The performance difference is neglible.Gary

There was quite a row about this combo last year on some of the techno forums elsewhere. After following through these, I came to the conclusion or acceptance of the fact that the ATI 9800pro is not geared to run in 8X with the SIS chipset used in the P4S8X (both of which I do have, and still run at 4X without any differences really)ALthoug I too would rather get out of what i paid for, I am saving up to get a better MB and fast CPUALlen
