August 23, 200520 yr I had the FX 5200, and it worked ok. you will definately see a mark up in performance from the MX. If you can get your hands on a BFG FX 5200, since it is 30% stronger than a normal FX5200.
August 23, 200520 yr personally i'd go for a higher spec card, both of the cards you mention are almost of the bottom of their ranges, granted they will outperform your present card, but you would see more performance going for an older G4 ti card. also hese cards are so cheap new i would not think it would be worth getting one from ebay by the time you get it posted to you t may even cost more.
