October 28, 200520 yr I finally picked up the quadrant to compliment my CH Yoke and Pedals. I was using the CH Throttle Pro (which I still like). Boy, it sure feels strange. Being a non real-world pilot, it feels the the levers are really small. Are they or is this about normal?Especially if I go with a two engine set up they seem hard to grasp. Could be just getting used to them after using the big ol' CH Throttle Pro for so long (and now I have to switch from my left and to my right! ;) )Thinking of making my own custom knobs so that one big knob covers across two control axis. Anybody tried that? Also couple of other questions (I could search the forums but since I got your attention...), 1. can you use one of the axis to control landing gear or does it have to be a toggle? 2. How about flaps?3. What are most of you throttle owners using the buttons for?thanks...
October 28, 200520 yr Let me throw in one more question. I just was playing around with it. With FSUIPC installed it appears the reverse thrusters are a "no brainer" to set up. They seem to work fine but here's the issue...I make the changes and they aren't saved the next time I start FS2004? Yet my Yoke and Peddles are retaining their assignements? strange... help!
October 28, 200520 yr You can use the throttle buttons for almost anything. Just assign the buttons to whatever. Gear flaps. In fact.. each button can be used for commands.Flip it down is one button and flipping it up for another. There are almost 18 or 20 (I think there are 9 buttons there..right?)If you have FSUIPC, you shouldn't have that problem. But I do remeber I had some issues with CH Throttle more than the yoke and the pedals. I don't know what I did. but i had to work at it a little. As far as the size...Hmmm... I fly multi engines for real. Piper seneca I and Seminoles. The size is not that much of an issue. I am surprised that you even mentioned it.The only size Issue I have had is..the size of trim wheels that come with the CH Yoke or go flight or any such thing. IMO, the trim wheel cannot be less than 8" in diameter. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarterÂ
