TrackIR 4 Pro

Featured Replies

Hi AllAny of you simmers out there know any technicial details concerning the new TrackIR 4 Pro (with Vector Expansion)? How it differs from 3 (other than enhanced resolution and responsiveness)? I've just ordered one and am eagerly awaiting delivery! Who has the inside knowledge?Al

I'm looking at the eDimensional website and see no mention of version 4.I have the TrackIR 3 Pro + Vector, if you call the vector 4, then at least I know what you mean.Anyhow, technical details? Vectoring adds a LOT.You can move side to side, up and down, forward and back ( zoom in and out ) in the Virtual Cockpit.Without vectoring, you can only look around from the same spot.

Thanks igreth123I have just ordered TrackIR 3 Pro + Vector from eDimensional but due to this item being on backorder, I was given an opportunity to quote: "reserve a first-run TrackIR 4 Pro unit including Vector".I have recently seen the TrackIR 3 Pro + Vector demonstrated and the 6 DOF seems to make all the difference - I just had to have them. So now I wait.Al

They might just mean the software, which is version 4.x although a quick Google does show some talk of a TrackIR 4 model...

No, it's a new hardware version. I ordered it as well. Not advertized to the public yet (well, until now). ;)

it on the site already. just saw it.looks like something from robocop.
