Help on Notebook Purchase for FS9

Featured Replies

Hi All,Another post seeking notebook advice. Not wanting to spend a whole lot of $$$ on a notebook I would appreciate any suggestions on whether the notebook below will be satisfactory, especially with the LDL 767and PMDG 737s. I have a P4/2.4gig desktop, 1GRAM now and have been able to fly the LDL 767, DF727 ok. The PMDG 737s will dip into single digits at EGGL or CDG. I am not sure if I can add a better Video card to the HP, which may be a weak link. Any guidance or recommendations for about $1,000 - 1200 is appreciated. I plan to use it during out of town travel.HP Pavilion zv6000 - NotebookOS Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition with SP2 AMD Athlon 64 3800+ (2.4GHz/512KB L2 Cache) Display 15.4" WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280x800) Graphics Card 128MB ATI RADEON® XPRESS 200M w/Hypermemory Memory 1.0GB DDR SDRAM (2x512MB) Hard Drive 40 GB 4200 RPM Hard Drive Primary CD/DVD Drive DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive Networking Integrated 56K Modem + 10/100 Ethernet LAN primary Battery 12 Cell Lithium Ion Battery Productivity Software Microsoft® Works/Money $1143.00Thanks,Carl
