Thanks Bert for your comments. I have settled down and started getting MSFS up and going. I have made some backups on important folders and moving data from the "old"MFS to the so called new MFS. As you mentioned I ended up with two MFS .I have started transferring data from the old community to the new community folder. This is a slow process but so far all is working. At least I now can delete some scenery, planes etc which I really don't need. Once all this is completed should delete more from the old MSFS. I should have a little more Gigs to add new scenery etc, I really couldn't get back up into the air without all you folks. Fielder, if you are on, just want to thank-you for all your help. As Bert stated will slow down and relax and enjoy what I have.

Just one final note that I am trying to understand. When you review MFS that was moved to microsoft folder/(MFS folder (550 gigs) it appears that nothing was changed. The MFS that remain is the 207 gigs which 12 gigs installed into the empty community folder. The other remaining gigs was essentially the official folder. It sure would be great if I could just copy all from the old MSF back to the existing MFS. Maybe my problem is when I panic-ed and started MFS right away and it started installing a few old packages that took over an hour. . At least I can still fly some but sure missed all the good stuff. I only have 34 gig remaining to install anything.

I had started to send a little more info for you. I realize that the 550gig that is in MFS which was moved when I hit the delete keys..There is 207 gigs in the new MFS which is community 12gig, official 187 gigs and 8 more. The official folder has the same as in the old data MFS. The layout in the old MFS appears to have almost all the info from the original before the "delete mess". This indicates why I now only see about 34gig remaining on the main drive. Now what can be done. It is almost 9pm here. Again I really appreciate all the help. I just hope I can get back into flying sometime soon. Regards

Sorry I just read your recent messages. The new data is 207 gigs total in MSf which includes all located in the new MFS, and the old data MSFS which is located in the Microsoft folder is 550 gigs. I wonder if I should change the old UserCfg since it is located presently in Microsoft /Microsoft flight simulator. to InstalledPackagesPath "C:\Users\cwtho\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages" although when it was deleted it did not change theUserCfg. or keep as shown now since when I deleted it there was no change to UserCfg.

Fielder, I am not sure what to do since my old MFS folder is located in the Microsoft folder. Each UserCfg shown in previous note are the same. You mentioned to change the text using the notepad. What should I change since they are the same. Is this a change in the UserCFG.opt?. Also how to move all of the old data in Microsoft folder to the existing MFS. Sorry for crazy questions hope I can understand more on what to do. Thank you for your help. r

Thank you for this important info. I would have really messed it up without your help. Now let me see if I will do it correctly. First I guess I need to check the UsrCfg being shown now and get back to you. Below is a copy a few months ago. Maybe it could still be used. I had made a copy the following UsrCfg several months ago which is prior to what is probably different now. The path shown below was when MSFS was not under the folder Microsft but Microsoft Flight Simulator as shown: InstalledPackagesPath "C:\Users\cwtho\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages" Will try to get the UsrCfg being shown now. and show it Carl

Folks, after all the help and suggestions you have provided I may have found the original MFS. I thought I have checked all the folders but out of no where I found folder Microsoft under roaming as well as Microsoft Flight Simulator folder located in the Microsoft folder. with all the data including Packages etc. and all the other folders required. , which appears the complete Microsoft flight Simulator. Now should I delete the existing MFS located in the existing Microsoft Flight Simulator folder and then transfer the complete MFS from the Microsoft folder to the MFSF where it should be. Hope that is not to confusing?

Gosh folks thanks for all your suggestions, I have gone thru every folder in my NVMe Drive where the MSFS is installed . How 200 gigs can just disappear, is over my head. . Everything appears to be normal and with no increased expected. I have enjoyed MSFS since the beginning 2 years ago with real problems that I could fix or see someone else that I could us his experience. I do have MSFS workinig ok but with a lost of over 200gig gone with lost of a lot planes scenery. I guess I will settle down and take a break. Will probably need some more help when I try to start all over. Maybe I can hold off till the new MSFS come a onboard. Thank you all for your help. Heck I might fine those gigs somewhere if I take a beak and try to fly a little bit. I no longer feel 82 but 92 (lol)

Bert , yes the packages were standard/deluxe and premium. So after I realized I had deleted the community folder (by mistake} I panicked and decided to restart MSFS using steam. Rather than a normal start MSFS started reinstalled all three of the packages. It took about an hour. After reinstall I noticed drive now only had 40gigs remaining. Before all of this happened my drive had over 230g remaining. I agree I lost almost 200gigs. I have gone thru the drive looking for the lost 200gigs. So far I have not found the loss gigs. I have used orbx and downloaded a few sceneries and all were installed in the new community folder with others that I have reinstalled. My problem now is only have about 25gigs. I do have a backup, which was done sometime ago and but updated. However I don't believe I can move it since my gigs are almost gone, until I found out where the loss gigs have gone.

Thanks for your quick replies. I do have many items bought from those folks as you mentioned. I now just have to pay them a visit back to start reinstalling. However, I may have a problem since NVMe decreased from 230 gig to 42 gigs after the reinstall of the MSFS packages (3). I am always checking my NVMe for gigs since I will be having to upgrade soon. When I restarted steam msfs had to reinstall the 3 msfs packages and each included the updates, which had already been installed years ago. There must be something I had accidentally touched delete. ?

Thanks all, first it was my community folder. It was empty and that was around 250 gigs in the community folder. unfortunately the recycle bin was empty. The 3 separate MSFS packages over time sold which I purchased thru steam. I have always started MSFS thru Steam. This time when I started up - each of the MSFS packages (3) reinstalled. After the reinstall, msfs advised I could now reinstall all the MSFS I purchased thru the MSFS market. So at least it appears that some are working. I backed up my community folder a year ago that MAY could be used in some more stuff. I assume I can transfer to the new folder. I am still not sure why I have lost almost 200gigs. I may have deleted something else that I must check on.

Folks I have really made major mistake by accidentally pressing the” delete” key in MSFS deleting the community file. This hurts at being over 82 years old,it causes the heart to increase beating. All my add ons, which were over 200 Gigs, lost. When I decided to start up MSFS it started adding all my MSFS 3 packages I had purchased over a year with updates using steam. It completed after a hour or so. It stated I could now add downloads which I had purchased over the years or so under MSF. (which were 20 or more}. Then started up MSFS All appeared went well with the MSF downloads. but when I had over 250gs before, now noticed have only 49 gigs remaining on HD. I am really nervous on what I have done.It does appear that I have two installs with the three MSFS packages. Do I have to just delete everything and start from scratch?. I remember reading over time with people running with major problems. Now I know what it feels like. I hope this makes some sense. Thank you for reading and any help is surely appreciated. Peter, if I understand you correctly I really have only the GNS 530 but no workable Wx radar or the other GTN unless I purchase certain add-ons. The video's I watched did not show the 530 but the other unit with wx radar operating. Since some of my planes have the GNS 530 and others only the GTN unit and wx radar shown in the VC. The knobs would turn but remained blank (black) with avionics switch on. The planes with the GNS 530 work with not problem. I am not sure about the setup you mentioned. I can use Shift 1 and 2. The Shift 1 does show the GNS530 and works in some planes but will not show up in others since the other inoperable GTN unit is shown I do hope this makes sense and thanks for your help. Update: Finally figured all this out. I have to purchase the GTN750 and the WxRar separately (duh!) The other airplanes I have with the other GPS are the ones I think are modified to work with 750. It looks like I will need to spend another $70 or more to get the GTN and Radar. Would be curious on what others are using other than the default. I must say the documents are not the greatest. I recently purchased the MU and I am having a problem with the GPS and the avionics. I am unable to get the GPS or the WX radar to work. After watching some videos I still can't figure out why there is no display. Turning on the avionic switch all lites up except the GPS and WX. I reinstalled and still no change. I am using FSX-SE and DX10. It appears everything else is working. Note: the GNS 530 works ok but no Wx radar. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the info. I saw it as soon as Steve put it out, then bought the TB while it was on sale. It now works great with DX10.

Steve, thanks for solving the problem with the Lionheart's TB21. Once Jean-Claude gave a good report that all is well with your changes, I went out and purchased the TB21 and made the corrections you mentioned and they worked perfectly. Thanks again,
