Video Card Overclock Utility

Featured Replies

I just downloaded RivaTuner 2.0 from Guru3d. Overclocked my 6800 GT a bit and it has increased FS9 frame rate. All appears stable at a Core Clock of 400 and Memory Clock of 1100. http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=163Richard

Keep a close eye on temperature. NOTHING pushes a card harder than FS, even after all this time. Overclocking without additional cooling is like freefall without a parachute. Fun for a while, then you get brought back to earth with a bump. :)Allcott

Noted! I moved the sliders probably one-third through the allowable range. I'll keep a check though on the temps. Thanks,Richard

I just purchased an PowerColor X800GT for $170 (was not going to pay $400-500 for a card)....they have an overclocking tool for the ATI cards as well....have it installed and core clocked @ 530 (over the stock 475) and memory clocked @ 1120 (over the stock 980). Per a test I read on the Guru site, I should/may be able to take it further (570/1200ish!!).Don't know if the RIVA tuner includes a fan/temp control, but they have one for the ATI Tool and will be monitoring temps for a little while I gain comfort on the settings. I can simply change the settings to go to 100% fan at whatever temp I want. Right now I will use the tools auto setting. Not bad for the money I think ;)
