More FPS with high end sound card?

Featured Replies

Hi all,I'v been looking at Creatives sound card X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS. Would it give me more fps in FS9? I only have on board sound chip (AC97) now.Ulf B

HiGenerally sound cards take pressure off the CPU which in turn should see an improvement in FPS in some addons.Do you have a link for the card?

Hi!Try playing FS2004 without sounds and check the fps: these fps are the max fps you can obtain with a high-end sound card.Aqui

Ulf, go and see my post at the "other site"... I just posted this morning as I picked up one of the X-FI cards last night. I saw a marked improvementin sound quality and even a performance gain going from an Audigy2ZS, I can not even imagine the difference going from onboard sound... I don't know if this card took a better IRQ or what but something about it makes FS performance seem better...If you have issues, just disable the crystalizer in the audio console.-PaulLiquid CooledAMD 4000 San Diego2 Gigs Kingston Corsair XMS CL2Dual 7800 GTX 24 inch widescreen dual 19 inch LCDRaid-0Creative X-Fi psolksig.jpg
