Which benchmarks and games performance graphs are useful in determining the best motherboard/cpu/memory/video card combination to get with regards to FS9?

>Which benchmarks and games performance graphs are useful in>determining the best motherboard/cpu/memory/video card>combination to get with regards to FS9?FS9 is a DX7/8 game (DX9 for multiplayer).Other DX8 games are Wolfenstien Enemy Territory, Doom3, UT2004.3D Mark 2001 SE latest build is DX8.1 benchmark so it is very relevant to FS9. For your own testing...Use it to bench your best settings for comparing CPU/FSB/GPU core and memory speeds and at what resolution, AA and AF settings for your GPU.Note: Turn off "Vertical sync" during testing or you may not see the accurate results of some of the changes that have smaller impact.Or simply setup FS9 with all variables turned off like AI, clouds and "can" a short flight from your favorite type of scenery in what ever AC you like to fly most, and run it using Fraps to record your FPS, now you have an FS9 benchmark progi. :)

While everything Paul said is correct I would like to add SiSoft Sandra's memory benchmark. Especially if you are running a lot of add-ons. I always felt that an improved memory bandwidth gave me the most improvement when running FS. But I run lots of add-ons so take this with a grain of salt.Alex
