My Otter floatplane won't float!!

Recommended Posts

I have the Steven Grant Otter 3 pack (wheel, float, ski) and until now have only flown the wheel version. Now I have found that the floatplane won't float. A quick examination of the "contact points" section of the aircraft.cfg file reveals that it does not have any floats ( type 4 points) .Could somebody kindly send me or cut and paste the relevant section into this forum so that I can work on the problem. At the moment , the contact points appear to be the same for both wheel and float versions - but the float version does have the correct figures for it to sit up straight instead of those used for the tail dragger .

Thanks for that -- but , in the meantime, I actually managed to find a VA that uses this aircraft as one of its' fleet and they had a FS2002 update for the floatplane . I have found that it works good. The section of the Aircraft.cfg that you attached doesn't look right to me -- the aircraft has no wheels so therefore doesn't need the "contact point x=1" lines . What aircraft did you get this from? Thanks Barry

Yeah, those contact points have seen tons of Otter floats and amphib repaints. It actually is from the amphib cfg, but works just as well in the straight float versions. Glad you found what you were looking for.
