trouble with nVidia GeForce 6800 GT

Featured Replies

any help please -- since installing nVidia GeForce 6800 GT card, FS9 stutters/flashes/etc. when loading. Several quick flashes, then usually loads, but after choosing aircraft, several more flashes, and may or may not quit while flying. Uninstalled and re-installed FS9, same problem -- think it's the graphics card. Any similar observations or recommendations? thanks.

I have been using a PNY made 6800GT for over a year with nothing but excellent results. Certain drivers have been better than others, but the most current ones on the Nvidia site (81.98) are working great for me. I have never had any issues like the ones you are experiencing. Are you having issues with any other 3D applications or games?

thanks much -- I'll get onto it.

FS9 is really the only 'game' I play -- private pilot with not enough time to get into the air. thanks.

I have same problem with a 6800 GTO, and am now using 81.98 drivers which are the best I have found so far. FS9 flashes a couple of times on the startup screen and did since the day I got my Dell 8400. It also use to flash when flying intermittantly, but the 81.98 drivers cured that. I think it is a issue with the Nvidia 6800 cards.

Could also be an issue with power supply and/or heat build up. Allcott
