Netframe 2.0

Featured Replies

Microsoft has just released Netframe 2.0.My question is do I need this software in order to run the ATI video drivers? (new 6.1s)It seems that they are only supporting the CCC version of driver verses the older CP (control panel).Yhe install instructions from MS did not say to remove Netframe 1.0 and the update 1.1 whch came out 2 days ago. I expected the version 2.o was to do away with the older 1.0. Am I right or is this just another MS way of putting useless junk on our computers?Terry

It's just another way to put useless junk on our computers. .NET 2.0 is complementary to previous versions. Unfortunately.Allcott

Well if the 2.o version is not needed then I will remove them. I hate to have all of that useless stuff running in the background eating up computer memory and cpu time.Terry

Terry,I'm running .net 1.1.xxxx, with CCC 5.12, no problems. I just re-installed XPPro/SP2, but at one point before the re-install I did have 1.1 and 2 installed. Uninstalled 2 with no problems, but may I suggest you create a System Restore point anyway. Just a good thing to do with anything MS ;-) Btw, the re-install had nothing to do with .net :-)jb
