February 23, 200620 yr Here's a question that's been asked a thousand times, but I'm gonna do it again just the same:I vividly remember when I upgraded to a gig of memory. My simminng was dramatically improved and I was very happy. If I add another gig, will I be happier?lynx
February 23, 200620 yr Possibly. But, if so, incrementally much less happier than how happy you were after the first happy experience.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. February 24, 200620 yr Well, sometimes, the little things make me happy too. I suppose, if it came down to it, I could be happy with just being able to say to someone who cared that I had 2 gigs. That's a pretty low bar on happiness.
February 24, 200620 yr On the more serious side, I really doubt that you'll see much difference except in the load times of the most extreme dense-scenery situations. But, I'm with you, it's sometimes the little things that make the most difference...If cost isn't a problem I'd do it.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. February 25, 200620 yr I appreciate the cost-effectiveness advisory. I try to stick with decent qulaity lower cost components because it will all be so much junk in a short time. So, with that in mind, I'll go for it and see what happens, or not.lynx
