March 26, 200620 yr I remember a post on removing distortion on the wide 24" LCD displays (running 1900x1200), but can't find it.Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!
March 27, 200620 yr If you want to adjust/resize the panel of your 2D panels using the widescreen monitor.http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=search"Just run the mouse over the right-hand side (or the left hand for that matter) of the screen. There's a point in which it will turn into that double-pointed arrow to resize the window, so just "drag" that with the mouse, you'll see that the 2D panel is actually like an overlay, which you can resize. The view out the windshield is a background layer (which you can also resize)."You only should resize the panel in 2D...not the external view. That is not distorted. in VC you do not have to resize anything.I'd add, that when you reclaim monitor realestate to your right afte resizingm display some other panel and move it to that empty space to your right and SAVE IT. Next time when you load, You would wouldn't have to readjust it again.Hope that helps. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
March 28, 200620 yr Thanks for the response.I normally run in "full screen" mode. In that mode (wide screen) I'm getting some horizontal distortion, like the picture is stretched to fit the extra width of the monitor. It is most noticable on the gauges.I remember where someone had a fix, but don't remember the details.
March 29, 200620 yr I think...your flight sim resolution should match your monitor resolution. There is no external view distortion in widescreen if you have the resolution set properly. What resolution do you have within FS9? check to see if you have "1900x1200" or not.
