April 8, 200620 yr Would like to replace my Radeon X600 PCIE 256mb with the card below. Would I be able to see any improvement. eVGA e-GeForce 6800 PCI Express 256MB DDR Video Card w/HDTV & DVI-I, cost $129 at Zipzoomfly. For the price it sure looks good. Appreciate any comments to help in this decision.http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetai...ductCode=322752Thanks,Carl P4, 3.4Ghz, 1GB, ATI Radeon X600 SE HyperMemory Carl PC AMD Ryzen R7-5700G (8-Core) processor), AMD Radeon RX 6600 Graphics 8GB/ 2TB HD + 500GB SSD, 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, Win11 _____________________________________________________________________________________
April 9, 200620 yr I just replaced an X600. It was OK for general business and graphics, but really sucked for any kind of intensive gaming. While I don't know about the 6800, I chose the ATI X1600XT, 256MB, DDR3, PCIe. What an improvement! Got it from Newegg for $149. In 3DMark5 I get a score of 5303, vs a 1733 for the old X600. DVD's play ultra-smooth, and I run my 24" wide screen at a resolution of 1900 X 1200.Good luck with your choice!
