System crash FS2004

Featured Replies

Quite frequently when selecting an aircraft type or departure airfield I get an audible series of rapid clicks followed by a complete system crash. I have inhibited automatic system rebooting in order to try and get an error code but all I get is a blue screen. Is this a known problem and if so is there a fix. #### annoying as it takes soooooooo long to get back to the starting point again. It does only seem to do it on the first aircraft selection after starting the SIM program. Any selections after that seem fine. I have tried 2 video cards with the same result.ThanksSteve

Hi Steve, you might laugh, but a blue screen is a great thing! At least you get some direct info about the problem. :-) Much better than CTDs or black screens i.e. Next time it happens, write down the error details and punch that into a search engine. If you can't find what you're looking for, feel free to post here. As far as I would dare to judge, such troubles are often memory or driver related. On a general note; it's impossible to help if someone doesn't provide system details etc. The more specific one is, the easier it is to - maybe - assist. :-) Stuff like the total amount and number of memory modules, CPU, display adapter, mainboard (plus chipset), the FlyTendo manufacturer(!), operating system etc., is highly useful. Hope this helps, good luck and kind regards Jaap
