Video Problem - Help Please!!!

Something is going on with my FS9 and I need help figuring out what it might be. When I get to the FS9 screen as the program is loading, the mouse curser becomes very slow in movement and "shadows" itself. When the program is fully loaded, the mouse curser doesn't stay visible on the screen. In other words, it sort of disappears until I move it. Then I can see it again, but it just goes away until I move it again. I'm not sure if that makes sense or not, but it's not working right. Another important symptom: As it's loading, for just a split second, only a quarter of the screen turns black, then the remainder also goes to black while the program loads (in other words, it doesn't go "black" instantly as it used to). I'm using the ATI 8.231.o driver with a Radeon 9800 Pro. Any ideas???? ThanksBTW, this has started after reinstalling my OS and FS9, along with some other programs. This seems to be the only program having a problem.

I found the problem. My Intelli-Mouse had the pointer "trails" enabled. That was causing the problem. We're good to go.
